The compact crossover has been completely redesigned, with a focus on its styling, handling, usability, technology, and powertrains. This was made possible by an updated global architecture from Honda. As a result, the brand’s top-of-the-line model will be replaced by a new hybrid model that is more powerful. The new Honda CR-V 2025, which is longer, broader, and more technologically advanced than ever before, is intended to help Honda regain its position as a real leader in its class. Honda CRV 2025 Redesign

Exterior And Interior Design

To characterize the redesigned Honda CRV 2025 as “rugged and refined,” Honda dove deep into cliché vocabulary. The design does resemble the Ridgeline pickup and Passport TrailSport, despite the unoriginal language. A shoulder line that spans the length of the body connects the massive grille to the LED headlights and a new L-shaped taillight cluster. The Sport and Sport Touring twins feature an aggressive bumper design with a gloss black mesh grille, while the EX and EX-L derivatives’ grilles are finished in gloss black with chrome surrounds. Rectangular exhausts are also added to the later two to further distinguish them. A roof-mounted spoiler is standard on all trims, and it comes in matte and gloss black on the Sport and Sport Touring, respectively. The Sport Touring moves up an inch to 19-inch split five-spoke alloy wheels, while the three entry-level versions have a set of 18-inch wheels clad in Berlina Black.

The A-pillars have been shifted 4.7 inches back, 2.8 inches out, and 1.4 inches lower, and the mirrors have been moved to the doors, making this more than just a replica of the previous design. The Honda CRV 2025’s exterior paint colors are still unknown, but the launch model has been spotted with what looks to be a brand-new dark blue and two hues of gray. Expect the traditional hues of the Honda brand, red, black, and white, to join.

The Honda CRV 2025 has the same five seats as the previous model, but the back seats have 0.6 inches more legroom and offer eight different reclining positions. The Honda CRV’s load capacity has also expanded, and at 36.3 cubic feet in its standard configuration, it sports the largest trunk ever. In the non-hybrid EX and EX-L variants, the rear cargo floor can be lowered to boost this to 39.3 cu. ft., and the 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks further increase the space to 76.5 cubes.

The Honda CRV 2025 is easy to spot because it looks a lot like the Honda Civic. The full-width air vent that runs across the dashboard is one example.Above this is a standard seven-inch touchscreen with a volume knob. The EX-L and Sport Touring bump this up to nine inches and add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sport Touring also adds a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

Honda CRV 2025 Engine

With this new generation crossover, Honda is combining the normal and hybrid lines into the primary Honda CR-V 2025 brand. The base Honda CRV’s engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged Civic Si engine that has been tweaked for the EX and EX-L trim levels to provide 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The latter has a larger range from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm and reaches 300 rpm earlier than previously. Its engine is mated to front-wheel drive and a continuously variable gearbox. The engine size jumps to 2.0 liters in the Sport and Sport Touring, but the turbo is gone. The new two-motor side-by-side hybrid system is linked to the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle motor. According to the ISO net measurement, the system as a whole produces 247 lb-ft and 204 hp, an increase of 3 hp over the previous hybrid CRV.

Except for the Sport Touring, which comes standard with all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive is still a choice on lower grades. AWD also has Normal, Econ, and Snow driving modes in addition to the new Hill Descent Control. The Sport mode is also available on the Sport and Sport Touring versions.

No information has been released on the 0–60 mph or peak speed, but the improved hybrid assistance has raised the CRV Hybrid’s towing capability to 1,000 lbs for the first time.

Honda CRV 2025 Release Date And Price

The 2025 CRV was unveiled in July 2023, and according to Honda, it will go on sale this summer. But the hybrid variants won’t go on sale until a bit later in the year.

Although it has promised tremendous value, Honda has been mum on the Honda CR-V 2025’s pricing. If it wants to outsell the Toyota RAV4, which has an MSRP range of around $27,000 to $38,000, it must remain steadfast on that point. Expect a little price rise above the current sticker price because the current CRV roughly reflects these costs. It will also compete against the Ford Escape and the Mazda CX-5.
